Bio Bidet has an extensive lineup of bidet seats (they make non-electric bidet seats, electric bidet seats, travel bidets, and all-in-one bidet toilets) that make it difficult to distinguish between them. Without knowing how to tell them apart, it’s hard to know which one to get. To make things easier for you, we put together some comparison charts of their most popular non-electric and electric bidets. We hope these charts help you pick the right one.

Differences Explained

Let’s start with the non-electric bidet seats first. Or should we say attachments? Because even though they function as a bidet, Bio Bidet’s lineup of non-electric bidets are actually attachments that get sandwiched in between your existing toilet and toilet seat, rather than a toilet seat that replaces your existing one. There is one exception though, as you may notice from the chart above. The Slim Zero is a bidet seat that would replace your toilet seat. The seat is soft closing and it’s important to note that it only comes in an elongated version, so it will only fit an elongated toilet. If your toilet is round, you won’t be able to install the Slim Zero on it. Attachments, on the other hand, will fit any toilet – it doesn’t matter if it’s elongated or round.

Another unique feature of the Slim Zero is its lever handle. The other non-electric bidets in the chart above are controlled by a knob. You would turn the knob to different positions to adjust the water pressure and select the nozzle (if there are dual nozzles). On the Elite3 and BB-270 there is an additional control on the knob that activates the self-clean nozzle function.

Unlike electric bidets, non-electric bidets typically do not have warm water because there is no power supply to heat the water. But there are a few non-electric bidets have the ability to connect to a hot water supply (typically sourced from the sink) which would feed warm water through the bidet. If you want to get a Bio Bidet that has the ability to do this, you’ll want to pick the BB-270. The BB-270 features an extra knob to control the temperature of the water.

A final feature we want to talk about is the night light, which you can find on the SlimGlow (hence the name) and Slim Zero. You may be wondering: if there’s no electricity, how can you have a light? The answer is with batteries. The SlimGlow attachment uses 2 AA batteries and the Slim Zero seat uses 4 AA batteries. Since the SlimGlow is an attachment, the light is located on the knob. But with the Slim Zero seat, the light is positioned on the seat to light up the toilet bowl.

Differences Explained

Compared to non-electric models, Bio Bidet has many more electric models. To simplify things, and to ensure you choose a quality model, we included only the ones that are proven to perform well. These bidets have everything you’d expect as far as cleansing features go – a front cleanse, rear cleanse, and wide cleanse. The higher end models BB-1000, BB-1700, and BB-2000 have water sprays infused with bubbles which is supposed to add another level of comfort, but you probably won’t notice that much of a difference. In fact, they have other “technologies” that seem cool on paper, but they’re not features that are vital or you would notice on a day-to-day basis.

One thing that does distinguish the bidets is the deodorizer, which you will find on the BB-1000, BB-1700, and BB-2000. Also, the BB-1700 and BB-2000 are made with better materials. For instance they feature a stainless steel nozzle instead of plastic. And they have sleeker designs and controls. Speaking of controls, the BB-600 and BB-1700 have attached panels on the side, while the others have remote controls that you can place on the wall or somewhere else.

When purchasing an electric bidet, one of the things you want to consider is how the toilet seat will heat water. There are typically three ways: tank system, tankless system, and a hybrid system that uses both tank and tankless technology. You can read our full explanation of tank, tankless, and hybrid water heating systems here, but what we can tell you now is that Bio Bidet uses either tank or hybrid systems.

Under a tank system, there is a reservoir that keeps warm water stocked and ready to use, but the tank reservoir will run out of water usually after one person uses the bidet (or before the person even finishes using the bidet!), so the next person will have to wait for water to warm up again. Under a hybrid system, once the water runs out you don’t have to wait because the water heater kicks in and ensures an endless stream of water. So the hybrid system is a lot more efficient, but will require a larger power draw to function.

The next thing we want to mention is that if you want a night light with your bidet, then the BB-2000 will be your only option. Also, the higher end BB-1700 and BB-2000 is only available in an elongated version, so they will not fit on a round toilet.

The final thing we want to talk about is warranty. You probably noticed that it differs quite a bit between the bidets. Bio Bidet offers a whopping 3-year full warranty with the higher end models BB-1700 and BB-2000, which we think gives consumers a huge peace of mind in case anything goes wrong, but they also command a higher price. The other three have 1 to 3 year limited warranties which are quite standard. Since warranties are so different and quite significant, we think it may play a factor in your decision.
