Hey everyone! Hope you’re keeping warm this winter. We’re back with another review today (this will be our first in 2019) and we’re excited to share with you the SmartBidet SB-3000 seat!
We really love the SmartBidet brand because they make quality bidet seats affordable for everyone. It’s why we’ve been recommending the SmartBidet SB-1000 for budget-conscious shoppers who don’t want to compromise on essential features that you would expect from an electric bidet, like a heated seat and warm air dryer.
That said, there were some drawbacks for the SB-1000. For instance if we could choose between a tank or tankless water heating system, we would pick a tankless water heating system which it didn’t have.
But now our wishes have come true! The new SmartBidet SB-3000 is a tankless style bidet seat and it doesn’t stop there – this one includes advanced features that the SB-1000 didn’t have. So let’s get right into it!
First things first, here’s what we can tell you about the SmartBidet SB-3000 in terms of its appearance, dimensions, and built.
Overall, this bidet looks better than the previous model. It has received a modern facelift. The first thing we noticed is that compared to the SB-1000, this bidet seat is slimmed down a bit. It’s still a bit clunky at the back but by no means as clunky as the older version. This one is at about 6 inches tall at the back versus 7 inches with the older model. Aesthetically speaking, we love slim bidets. And thus far no one does this better than Toto who makes sleek, advanced bidets that are only 4 inches tall. But they also come with a higher price tag.
The SmartBidet SB-3000 is operated by remote control. The design has been upgraded from the SB-1000. What’s cool about this remote is that it attaches to a mount on the wall by magnets. And the design is such that it leaves a big hole at the bottom of the remote when you take it off the mount. It’s also a large remote, which could be difficult to hold in one hand for some people. We much prefer the remote with, say, the Toto Washlet S550e which is a slim, touch pad remote that feels great in the hand.
This bidet seat comes only in an elongated version. We see more and more companies shy away from making round bidet seats, so given the trend you would probably have to replace your toilet with an elongated one if you want to continue using bidet seats and don’t already have an elongated toilet. The dimensions for the SB-3000 are 15.4″ wide, 20.9″ long, and 6.3″ at the highest point in the back.
The SmartBidet SB-3000 comes in white.
We noticed that SmartBidet wants to compete in the luxury bidet department with the SB-3000 and it comes with plenty of advanced features. Perhaps users no longer want to settle for just a heated seat and warm air dryer. They want more out of their bidet.
The SB-3000 bidet comes with your usual heated seat, warm air dryer, and front and back wash with a number of customizable wash settings. We will mention that this has a stainless steel nozzle which we think is a plus for durability and sanitization (compared to a plastic nozzle). As mentioned earlier this model uses a tankless water heating system that will heat water on-the-go – a huge energy saver and no worries about running out of hot water with a tank system and then having to wait for the seat to fill the tank with hot water again before using.
As far as the advanced features go, this bidet seat has a soft open and close seat and lid which is always a nice touch. There is also an LED night light on the side of the seat which is great for using the toilet at night. And now this bidet comes with a deodorizer.

Why the SmartBidet SB-3000?
Choosing a bidet toilet seat can be a difficult decision. There are many products on the market and it’s not easy to see what features you get with each product. To help with your decision, we put together some reasons why the SmartBidet SB-3000 might be the one you’re looking for.
You should buy the SmartBidet SB-3000 if:
- You want a bidet toilet seat with a heated seat, warm water, and customizable cleansing
- You want a remote control
- You want a warm air dryer
- You want to maintain a clean, odor-free toilet with relative ease
- You want a bidet with an Energy Saver mode
- You have a 3-prong plug near the toilet or are willing to install one
- You want a simple, easy-to-use toilet seat with a clean, modern design
- Your budget is a major concern, but still want an advanced bidet seat
The main thing we don’t really like about this bidet seat is the remote control. It’s clunky and hard to hold (especially if you have small hands) and not as straightforward as we hoped, even for those who have used bidet seats in the past. When it comes to controls the Toto bidet seats really do stand out. We love the icons for the buttons and the overall user experience.
Final Thoughts & Where to Buy
We gave big points to the SmartBidet SB-3000 because once again, with a SmartBidet, you get a number of great features for the money you pay and the bidet seat itself doesn’t look too shabby at all.
The SmartBidet SB-1000 provided great value but SmartBidet never really had an advanced bidet to compete with other manufacturers. Now they’ve entered the market, so to speak, but are definitely still playing catch up to the long-standing manufacturers like Toto with sleek designs and advanced water technologies.
For “best of the best”, go for a Toto. That said, the SB-3000 is a great choice for those who want an advanced bidet seat and don’t really care for Toto’s “ewater” technologies or fancy sensor-operated automatic open and close seats.
